Gua Sha Rose Quartz

PROPERTIES

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve circulation. This ancient practice is typically performed on the back, buttocks, neck, arms, and legs. A smooth-edged instrument, often made of jade or rose quartz, is used in the process.

The technique involves the therapist applying massage oil on the skin and then using the Gua Sha tool to repeatedly scrape the skin in a downward motion. Gua Sha is intended to address stagnant energy, called chi, in the body that practitioners believe may be responsible for inflammation. By scraping the skin surface, they aim to help move this energy, thereby improving circulation and reducing inflammation, which can lead to decreased pain.

Gua Sha is often used to treat chronic pain and is associated with a variety of conditions, including muscle and joint pain, fibromyalgia, and tension headaches. It can also be used for cosmetic purposes on the face, where the technique is gentler and helps to reduce puffiness, promote anti-aging, and rejuvenate the skin.

  • Please note that all natural stones have variations and may be different than those pictured. Please choose correct size.

  • Please be aware that despite its benefits, Gua Sha can cause temporary bruising and redness as the scraping can burst blood vessels near the skin’s surface. These marks typically fade in a few days. It’s recommended that individuals consult with a healthcare professional before trying Gua Sha, especially if they have a skin condition, an acute medical condition, or are pregnant.
